Laptop Lending

Windows PC laptop computers may be obtained at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library. All students in good standing with the library (with less than $50.00 in outstanding fees) are eligible for this service with a valid Millersville University identification card.

A laptop computer, power cord and case may be borrowed for up to 2 weeks. The laptop and associated items must be returned by the due date and time and may not be renewed. Laptop and associated items must be returned at the Circulation Desk.

Fines and/or Fees:

Laptop and associated items will be considered overdue immediately after the due date and time. Fines for overdue laptop and associated items are $5.00 per item per hour (or any portion thereof) and begin immediately after the due date and time. Overdue fines for laptop and associated items increase $5.00 each hour up to a maximum of $400. Once an item is overdue for 7 days, replacement fees ($500.00 for the laptop, lesser amounts for the cord and case) and processing fees ($17.00 per item) will automatically be applied to your account.

Lost or Damaged Items:

If items are lost or damaged, including any item overdue for 7 days, you will be charged a replacement fee (varies) and a processing fee ($17 per item). If you find an item in acceptable condition within one year, you may request a refund for the replacement fee only. Please report lost or damaged materials to library staff. You are responsible for all items borrowed or requested via your library account.
