Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) materials are items that do not fall under OER, but do not cost the student money. One common example is items from library databases, such as articles, books, or videos, or materials that are used in place of textbooks. Someone might pay for access to these items, but it is not the student. While not a true OER because the item may have copyright restrictions, curricular support materials used in this manner still achieve the goal of saving students money. Contact your librarian to discuss how library resources can support your course.
