Before searching HeinOnline it may be helpful to locate the Supreme Court case number to make the search quicker. Try a Google search or one of the sites listed in Federal Judicial Information

The following links will open databases that Millersville University Library subscribes to. If you want to research the subject of your Supreme Court case or the coverage of the case itself in the published periodical literature, you have a few choices.  There will be discussion of many cases in the scholarly and trade literature in the field of education, which you can research using the Education Research Complete database.  Alternatively, there will also be many general and news publications that have published discussions of the cases and their relevant constitutional issues.  For this literature, you can use the Academic Search Complete database to find articles. The Newspapers and Magazines Subject Guide has links to the periodical databases that have older coverage than Education Source and Academic Search Complete.

• Locate a case
  • Try the links on the "Cases" tab for ideas of cases related to education
  • Note the name (someone v someone else) and citation (345 US 456)
• Search for the decision
  • HeinOnline - Use the case citation to quickly locate the decision in HeinOnline; use the name to quickly locate articles about and including the case
  • Oyez - Key question answered by the case, decision, key people
• Search for research and newspaper articles
  • Use the Newspapers and Magazines Research Guide to locate current and historical news articles on the case
  • Search specific education databases to find articles on the case
  • Use Library Search to go beyond education databases to find additional articles in other areas.
