Top 5 Reasons to Contact Your Subject Librarian
1. Find and access scholarly resources: You need scholarly research, but how do you find it and access full-text? Your subject librarian can help you navigate the print and digital materials available in our collection and those that can be borrowed from other institutions.
2. Citing your research: It does not matter what format you must use (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.) your subject librarian can answer questions about formatting and citing your research.
3. Copyright-friendly sources: Do you need images or survey questions or tests to include in your project? The subject librarian can assist you with locating copyright-friendly resources.
4. Institutional Review Board (IRB): Depending on the nature of your study you may be required to get special approval to conduct your research from the institutional review board (IRB). Your subject librarian and advisor can guide you through this process.
5. Present your research: You have done all of this hard work, now what? Present it at a workshop or conference! All of our librarians have experience with presentations and can assist you in preparing for an outside conference or our own Made in Millersville event that is held every April in the library.
